Plastic Screw Temperature Resistance Guide Nylon PP PTFE Working Temperature

Plastic Screw Temperature Resistance Guide Nylon PP PTFE

Temperature resistance is a key factor for plastic fasteners. Exceeding the temperature range will cause softening, deformation or brittleness, leading to connection failure.

Temperature Performance Comparison Table

Material Working Temp Range Short-term Limit Low Temp Resistance Application
PA6 Nylon -20℃ ~ 90℃ 110℃ Poor General indoor electronics
PA66 Nylon -30℃ ~ 120℃ 150℃ Good Precision electronics, mild high temp
PP Polypropylene -20℃ ~ 80℃ 100℃ Poor Water treatment, humid conditions
PTFE -200℃ ~ 260℃ 300℃ Excellent Extreme temperature & chemical equipment

Key Notes

High temperature causes plastic softening and creep. Low temperature reduces toughness and increases brittleness. PA66 and PTFE have better temperature stability for harsh conditions. Select the right material according to your actual working temperature range.
