Plastic Fastener Materials and Product Range Introduction
plastic fastener Materials and Product Range Introduction
plastic fasteners are insulating, non-rusting, lightweight and chemical-resistant, widely used in electrical/electronics, cabinets, automotive, telecom and appliances. Our range covers screws, nuts and spacers in nylon, POM, PPS and peek. This article introduces material characteristics and selection.
nylon (pa66) Range
Nylon 66 is the most common plastic fastener material: tough, low-cost and insulating, with a long-term range about -40 to 110°C. We offer black and natural screws, nuts, threaded and male-female spacers for general electronics, terminals and cabinets. V0 flame-retardant versions are available for fire-safety needs. Nylon absorbs moisture and varies slightly in damp environments—note for precision fits.
POM Range
POM (acetal) is stiff, wear-resistant, dimensionally stable and low-absorption—stiffer than nylon for gears, sliders and structural plastic parts. POM resists weak alkalis but not strong acids; about -40 to 100°C.
PPS and peek Range
PPS handles about 200°C long-term with excellent chemical resistance for power modules and under-hood areas. PEEK goes higher, about 250°C long-term with near-metal strength but higher cost, used in semiconductor, medical and harsh service.
Forms and Selection
Beyond screws and nuts, we offer threaded and male-female spacers, nylon nuts and washers for board support and insulation. Select by temperature, chemicals, strength and cost: nylon for general, POM for wear/low moisture, PPS for high temp/chemical, PEEK for extreme demands.
